I experienced the same thing.
When I clicked on “settings” with the Buddypress plugin, i get the same message: “you do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.”
When I ran the installation wizard and clicked on “active” or “must-use” under the components section. I get the same message.
BTW, I’m using Politic theme from envato.
Would appreciate any advise on how to proceed.
