  If you notice on this site they do not call it forums. It’s called Support Topics.

Is there not some kind of placeholder for the username or Display-name already build into BuddyPress which could be used in your Welcome-Pack ?

yeah Paul, unfortunately your Plugin does not touch that e-mail.
It seems the text of the Subject of that e-mail is not possible to translate…….not funny

Hey Paul,

within Welcome-Pack, none of the e-mails is mentioning the users name (username or Display-Name), like saying e.g.:

Hello Herbert !
Hello Frank !

How can I put the users name (username or display-name) into the e-mails which are being sent by Welcome-Pack ?

users, post, comments: I would call this a Forum. So as I have deactivated the Activity-component from my own page now, it actually looks like a Forum with some Groups now, which is fine !

are there any language-files available, as I would like to translate into german-language ? Or would I rather have to change the wording as those are hard-coded somewhere ?

  think i did the proper locale strings but haven’t generated a language file for it (i’m still not up to par on how WP does localization) slaffik sent me some plugins with the language file (in RU) but with the loader stuff in the code. I just need to merge and update all my plugins.

when I am using your “Forums Extras Plugin”, do I need to have “BP Activity” turned on ?
I am actually running a page with just having Groups and Forums. The Groups are on my Start-page.
I have disabled Activity-Streams. Can I still use your Plugin when Activities-component is disabled ?

there is the Default “Welcome User Email” to be set within the “Dashboard / Site Admin / Options”.
How to change the text of the Subject from this e-mail ?

It currently says: New User:

I would like to change the words “New” and “User”.

there are internet-developers and long-time internet-pros on this forum, not even those experts who have spend their last few months with BP understand how to use bp.org (as per comments above). Imagine newcomers: they will have no chance understanding bp.org

the Group at which I would like new members to invite, has the Group-name “Help & Support”.
However the letter “&” is not properly shown in the e-mailsubject and within the e-mail-text. It is only showing the HTML-text for the letter & (& amp;)

you mean just changing the wording from Forum to Discussions or do you mean anything else ?
