    …okay, yep, somehow Buddypress itself got deactivated.

    Wow, I’m a special snowflake this morning.

    Thanks for the wake-up, @boonebgorges. I needed that. And a cup of coffee, apparently.

    @boonebgorges: Yep, that’s what I mean. I keep getting WP errors when I try to activate a child theme.

    The upgrade apparently removed bp-default from my Themes folder somehow; I went and copied it back in, and activated it just now. I’m still getting errors – calls to undefined functions. So far, I’ve gotten a call to undefined function on line 13 and one on line 27, as copied above.

    And hey, after activating just the bp-default theme, I’m still getting errors!

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function bp_site_name() in /home6/candlema/public_html/sadblasters/wp-content/themes/bp-default/header.php on line 27

    I’ve also gotten a fatal call to undefined function on line 13.

    Seriously, no idea what’s wrong here. I may just go nuclear, scrub everything, and start from scratch. Luckily, I only built the site a couple days ago and only really have test users.

    Okay, so I copied the bp-default theme out of its folder in Plugins and into my Themes directory. Tried activating Frisco again, and got this:

    Warning: require_once(/home6/candlema/public_html/sadblasters/wp-content/themes/twentyeleven/theme-options.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home6/candlema/public_html/sadblasters/wp-content/themes/frisco-for-buddypress/functions.php on line 57

    Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘/home6/candlema/public_html/sadblasters/wp-content/themes/twentyeleven/theme-options.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /home6/candlema/public_html/sadblasters/wp-content/themes/frisco-for-buddypress/functions.php on line 57

    I was using this theme and LOVING it…and then I upgraded to Buddypress 1.5.1 this morning, and I’m told that something’s broken.

    Frisco for BuddyPress The parent theme is missing. Please install the “bp-default” parent theme.

    But the parent theme appears to still be there; I’m really confused as to what’s going on. Any tips, coming from the creator of a great theme?

    @aces – The email plugin did it for me. Thanks!

    I’m having this problem as well. I just did a fresh install of Buddypress and I’ve tried to set up two testing accounts. The accounts register the users in my User panel, but the activation emails are not arriving and therefore the users can’t log in and use the site!
