| About Me | Frank Gomez is a US Coast Guard veteran, the Owner and the Creative Director of Empowered Marketing, LLC. Empowered Marketing has provided Website Development, Web Design and Graphic Design since 1997. Originally named Frank’s Designs in Seattle, the tagline Empowered Marketing was added in 2008 when he moved to Sarasota to describe what his business does. In Sarasota Frank developed his skills in InDesign, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop as well as using WordPress for website design. In 2016 the business was rebranded and trademarked as Empowered Marketing. Frank concentrates on building unique, fast loading and mobile friendly websites which are much better for SEO and performance on mobile devices. Even though Empowered Marketing is a small business our websites are faster than those built by premium agencies. In 2019 he made a commitment to develop accessible websites (websites that comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act) and has performed accessibility remediations on many websites. |

| WordPress Origin Story | I built a site with Joomla and hated it. So I tried WordPress and fell in love. I bought many books most of which would make sense now but were so far over my head back then I sold them as used “almost new” books. Now I understand so much more after using WordPress every day for over a decade. |
