    nope, this is not php error. this is blog creation error. when i create new blog from ‘/wp-admin/wpmu-blogs.php’ – it’s config is not correct. ‘Default theme’ and ‘Default stylesheet’ are set to ‘default’. Dunno what it mean, but when i change this line to ‘buddypress-home’ – new blog works like a charm ) is there anything i can do to make ‘dafault’ theme works for new created blogs? or automate ‘buddypress-home’ adding to this fields? oO

    yeap, i forgot to write about it. and there is another problem after install.

    in single page (news page for example), when you are not logged in – your sidebar just drops on the footer.. dunno what to do with css about it…

    for every user BP creates 3 new tables. for his and his friends activity on the site. dunno why it is so, but it’s a fact ))

    add new function in wp-core-avatars.php ->

    function bp_core_get_avatar_url( $user, $version = 1, $width = null, $height = null, $no_tag = false ) {
    global $bp, $current_blog;

    if ( !is_int($version) )
    $version = (int) $version;

    if ( CORE_AVATAR_V2_W == false && CORE_AVATAR_V2_H == false )
    $version = 1;

    if ( !$width )
    $width = constant('CORE_AVATAR_V' . $version . '_W');

    if ( !$height )
    $height = constant('CORE_AVATAR_V' . $version . '_H');

    $avatar_file = get_usermeta( $user, "bp_core_avatar_v$version" );
    $url = $bp['root_domain'] . '/' . $avatar_file;

    if ( strlen($avatar_file) ) {
    if ( $no_tag )
    return $url;
    else
    return $url;
    } else {
    $ud = get_userdata($user);
    $grav_option = get_site_option('user-avatar-default');

    if ( $grav_option == '' ) {
    $default_grav = 'wavatar';
    } else if ( $grav_option == 'mystery' ) {
    $default_grav = site_url('wp-content/mu-plugins/bp-core/images/mystery-man.jpg');
    } else {
    $default_grav = $grav_option;
    }

    $gravatar = 'https://secure.gravatar.com/avatar/' . md5( $ud->user_email ) . '?d=' . $default_grav . '&s=';
    if ( $no_tag )
    return $gravatar . constant('CORE_AVATAR_V' . $version . '_W');
    else
    return $gravatar . constant('CORE_AVATAR_V' . $version . '_W');
    }
    }

    and use bp_core_get_avatar_url(user_id_here,1)

    @gerbilo

    Participant

    it’s not just url, but something..

    <?php echo bp_core_get_avatar( user_id_here, 1 ) ?>

    you will get ->

    <img src="http://your.site/wp-content/blogs.dir/blog_id_here/files/avatars/user_id_here/user_avatar.jpg" alt="" class="avatar photo" width="50" height="50" />

    LEFT JOIN {$wpdb->base_prefix}blogs b ON p.blog_id IN (1,2) WHERE...

    something like that i guess..

    @gerbilo

    Participant

    we got it!

    in bp-groups-clases.php change

    function get_user_dataset() {
    global $wpdb, $bp;
    return $wpdb->get_results( $wpdb->prepare( "SELECT DISTINCT user_id, is_admin, inviter_id, user_title, is_mod FROM " . $bp['groups']['table_name_members'] . " WHERE group_id = %d AND is_confirmed = 1 AND is_banned = 0 ORDER BY rand()", $this->id ) );
    }

    to this ->

    function get_user_dataset() {
    global $wpdb, $bp;
    return $wpdb->get_results( $wpdb->prepare( "SELECT DISTINCT user_id, is_admin, user_title, is_mod FROM " . $bp['groups']['table_name_members'] . " WHERE group_id = %d AND is_confirmed = 1 AND is_banned = 0 ORDER BY rand()", $this->id ) );}

    @gerbilo

    Participant

    ofcourse id does. you must write SELECT DISTINCT p.post_id..

    @gerbilo

    Participant

    so play with it! i have only one blog, so i can’t test it!

    change for example:

    LEFT JOIN {$wpdb->base_prefix}blogs b ON p.blog_id = 1 WHERE

    i’ve found this function –

    function xprofile_filter_link_profile_data( $field_value, $field_type, $field_id ) {
    if ( $field_type == 'datebox' )
    return $field_value;

    if ( !strpos( $field_value, ',' ) && ( count( explode( ' ', $field_value ) ) > 5 ) )
    return $field_value;

    $values = explode( ',', $field_value );

    if ( $values ) {
    foreach ( $values as $value ) {
    $value = trim( $value );

    if ( count( explode( ' ', $value ) ) > 5 )
    $new_values[] = $value;
    else
    $new_values[] = '<a href="' . site_url() . '/' . MEMBERS_SLUG . '/?s=' . $value . '">' . $value . '</a>';
    }

    $values = implode( ', ', $new_values );
    }

    return $values;
    }
    add_filter( 'bp_the_profile_field_value', 'xprofile_filter_link_profile_data', 2, 3 );

    so EVERY field is ‘link’ field.. i think this is not so good ;/

    next stape i think should be creation of new field_types, and applying filters to this field_types in this function. but where are this types and how to create new ones i don’t know..

    @gerbilo

    Participant

    and other question – how to check user added info posted in this extra fields? cause i just saw hundreds spaces in ‘link’ field…

    @gerbilo

    Participant

    we got it! problem is in the ‘function delete’ in bp-blogs-classes.php

    origin ->

    return $wpdb->query( $wpdb->prepare( “DELETE FROM ” . $bp . ” WHERE user_id = %d AND blog_id = %d AND post_id = %d”, $user_id, $blog_id, $post_id ) );

    edited one ->

    return $wpdb->query( $wpdb->prepare( “DELETE FROM ” . $bp . ” WHERE blog_id = %d AND post_id = %d”, $blog_id, $post_id ) );

    @gerbilo

    this bug pops up only when NON-author deletes post in blog. for example user ‘a’ makes some blog entry, and ‘admin’ deletes it.

    @gerbilo

    maybe 404 error have something to do with mod_rewrite on your server? oO

    on news – single.php in you theme dir, and for members – you got hole theme in members dir to configure content output ))

    yes, you can turn off this Admin Bar in options of your BP.

    @gerbilo

    Participant

    $blog_sql = $wpdb->prepare( ” AND p.blog_id = 1″, $blog_id );

    for example. for main blog – try it )

    @gerbilo

    Participant

    i guess function get_latest_posts in bp-blogs/bp-blogs-classes.php should help you to do this. Ofcourse this is a brutal way.. )

    @gerbilo

    i’ve tryied to add p.post_type = ‘post’ and p.post_status = ‘publish’.. but all i got it’s blank screen ((

    1. you could create your one specific intro page with login/pass/reg only form and make this page as home in options of wp mu. i think.

    2. there is flickr plugin live allready (hope gallery will be added lately to host photos inside BP too)

    3. you can use phpbb or other forums insteed. i think it’s even better )

    4. i think there is invite system live in BP, but i didn’t use it by now )
