Hey, the activation email has been received!
I’m still testing if clicking on the activation url works.
@venutius – any idea why test emails are sent successfully via the plugin “Check Email” but no activation email from BP?
In Settings/General I checked “Anyone can register” and the New User Default Role is “subscriber.
Is this what you referred to?
If so, it doesn’t make sense why the Buddypress two default emails relating to activating an account are absent. It would be helpful if someone can show me what the emails look like.
Issue resolved. No need to respond.
Thanks @vapvarun. I realized I did not check “Buddypress” in Screen Options.
Good question @venutius. If I am correct, I did not setup a redirect. However, can you share a link that describes what you are referring to and I’ll look at it?
I downloaded the plugin today, “If Menu – Visibility”, but it seems not hide the Activity page even if I am logged out (using Icognito).
I want to hide all the Membership areas: Activity, Profiles, Groups, etc.
What do you suggest?
Thank you so much everyone for your time and wisdom!
I decided to use BuddyPress as it’s never going away, the functionality is endless, it’s not expensive in the formation stage, there are tons of developers, and there is lots of support.
So thank you @venutius, and @vapvarun, and @krioteh.
All of your feedback is very helpful in my process to decide in using BP moving forward. Yes, I do not have a lot of time and a one-stop shop like Peepso may make sense now. Yet, my community is still in the birthing stage and it’s best to leave things open as to where it needs to go.
