@globalvagabond What exactly don’t you understand about using the shortcode? If that’s not what you want, since you would choose the topics manually, you can just copy the topic title you want and add a link to each topic.

e.g.
<a href="https://buddypress.org/support/topic/select-topics-to-show-on-frontpage/">Select topics to show on…[Read more]
