Actually I’ve just created the child theme and obviously it doesn’t work as it’s not the active theme.
So in essence, I don’t want a buddypress theme to activate as I already have my own, I just want to use buddypress within my own theme, and customise it.
Just to confirm…
The site has a custom WP theme with BP integrated as standard. So it’s already inherited some of the styles and such. So if I make a child theme as above to the BP install, will it keep all the users and profiles intact?
Assuming it just calls the child theme because there is one.
I have unfortunately created a custom theme, started using buddypress with member profiles that have been populated, and now need to create a child theme to customise it. I realise I’ve done this the wrong way round but can’t seem to find a solution.
