Actually I’ve just created the child theme and obviously it doesn’t work as it’s not the active theme.
So in essence, I don’t want a buddypress theme to activate as I already have my own, I just want to use buddypress within my own theme, and customise it.
The site has a custom WP theme with BP integrated as standard. So it’s already inherited some of the styles and such. So if I make a child theme as above to the BP install, will it keep all the users and profiles intact?
Assuming it just calls the child theme because there is one.
