My host upgraded PHP to the latest stable version PHP 5.4.8
Buddypress Media displayed:
I contacted my host and they replied, “The build is now complete and GD is now installed.”
After that I totally lost my buddypress site. It displayed this error:
`Warning: require(/home/username/public_html/subdomain/wp-content/plugins/BP-Media/core/utils/class.utils.exception.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/username/public_html/subdomain/wp-content/plugins/BP-Media/core/bpm.core.php on line 183
Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘/home/username/public_html/subdomain/wp-content/plugins/BP-Media/core/utils/class.utils.exception.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /home/username/public_html/subdomain/wp-content/plugins/BP-Media/core/bpm.core.php on line 183`
I contacted my host again with this issue and they replied:
“The subdomain.mybuddypress.com issue however, is a result of the Buddy Press Media plugin. The plugin is labeled a “nightly” release, which means the plugin is unstable, and not suitable for a production site. The error messages are because plugin is missing a file (core/utils/class.utils.exception.php), and is preventing it from loading. We verified that this file is missing from the latest release, and removed the plugin from the plugins directory so the site would load.”
How to fix this ?
@Fanquake Worked perfectly. Installed and activated
I have requested my host to update my PHP installation.
@fanquake Wow .. Thank you very much.
Just one more doubt. Sorry to trouble you.
After I started this thread,
I installed “buddypress album” plugin. Used it for 2 days and deleted the plugin.
To use “buddypress media” Nightly, Should I do any changes, Like deleting some tables in phpMyadmin ?
Or simply I can go ahead and install Nightly ?
