Yep! It confused me that my post didn’t show up. I even submitted two or three times without success. Then it occurred to me my post had 3 links in it so that might have been the problem. A pop up message would have saved me trying to double or triple submit

Actually @hnla, you’ve inspired me to not use Bootstrap for my next project! Bootstrap has always been the go-to solution for me, but let’s see how I get on without it 🙂

Alternatively to @hnla‘s suggestion, you could utilise something like Bootstrap’s grid system to achieve this.

There’s a hook available in BuddyPress called messages_message_before_save which can be used to do things before a message is sent. So, you could write a function which checks to see if a member has authorisation to send a message and bail if not. You’d simply hook your function to messages_message_before_save

The excerpt you posted is CSS. Unfortunately, that will have nothing to do with posting a notification to a list of members.

Sorry for me seeming dumb, but I really am not sure what you mean by this? Your web browser interprets the <img> tag and renders the image on screen if that’s what you mean?

The functionality you describe seems to be custom (not the default functionality provided by BuddyPress or WordPress) so you’ll need to provide more details on how exactly it works in order for the guys here to try to help.

Is IE the latest version and are all of the updates installed? I had that issue until I upgraded my IE and downloaded “ALL” of the updates. Everything displays “OK” after that.

Yeah, all BuddyPress sites will have the wp_users and wp_usermeta tables. See here for a description of the WordPress database and here for the BuddyPress one.
