Check out the Customizing Labels, Messages, and URLs article. To customise the label I think you’ll need to use a language file.

If you also want to change the slug in the URL, try adding this to your bp-custom.php file define( 'BP_MESSAGES_SLUG', 'mails' );

That’s a premium theme so unfortunately I can’t see the widget’s code when I visit that site. Perhaps try asking their support team how you could achieve what you need?

@marriagebroker login details aren’t necessary. I just need to locate the source code of the widgets to see what hooks are available. Are they default widgets in BuddyPress (I don’t currently have BuddyPress installed so cannot check that myself)? Or are they part of a plugin etc?

Check out the Theme My Login plugin. Once installed, if you enable the ‘redirection module’ it’ll do exactly what you need.

@grafcom I’m not sure why your code isn’t working. Firebug is telling you the selector is time-since and you’re doing this in your CSS file:

span.time-since {
display: none !important;

Check with your hosting company that their mail server is set up and working

Are you sure span.time-since is the right selector?

BuddyPress should automatically create registration and activation pages for you. You can check by going to your website. For example example.com/registration or example.com/activate.

To create a WordPress navigation menu and add the activation and registration pages to it, see the WordPress Menu User Guide.

I just read your blog post. It’s interesting you couldn’t get define( 'BP_SEARCH_SLUG', 'searchresults' ); to work outside of wp-config.php. Have you tried creating a bp-custom.php file and popping the constant definition in there?
