In reply to: Styling in (BuddyPress) Members widget
#05a9c5is your theme’s link colour. For some reason, your theme is setting widget links to the colour#777. As @leog371 mentioned above, you can override that behaviour by adding this to your child theme’s style.css document:.widget ul li a { color: #05a9c5; }In reply to: Jamroom To BuddyPressI’m not aware of a migration tool. My guess is you will have to build something custom.

In reply to: Function create_function() is deprecatedThe latest version of BuddyPress doesn’t use
create_function(). Try upgrading to version 2.9.2.In reply to: Display some user data on a single pageIf I were to use each individual user’s ID, then every time there is a new member, I have to write a new line?
You won’t have to write a new line when a member is added. My code should be used within a loop so you’ll perform the action on every member in the collection. Adding to or removing from the collection isn’t a problem. The collection in your case is the group’s members.
In reply to: Display some user data on a single pageIf you have the user’s ID then you can pass it to the
get_userdata()WordPress function like this:$user_id = 1; $user = get_userdata( $user_id );Then you can use the
$userobject like this:echo sanitize_email( $user->user_email );Note, how you get the user’s ID will depend on the context. See:
In reply to: Buddypress registration form and profile fieldsIf I understand properly, you need conditional profile fields. Try BuddyDev’s Conditional Profile Fields for BuddyPress.
In reply to: How to Add Username to Menuwp_nav_menu_items is a useful filter hook. You can use it like this:
add_filter( 'wp_nav_menu_items', function( $items, $args ) { if ( 'primary' === $args->theme_location ) { // Do something to the primary menu's $items. } return $items; } );In reply to: http://www.zzelzal.com/ site in arabicCheck out the Languages and Translations article:
In reply to: WordPress and buddypress UserWordPress users are BuddyPress users. They’re stored in the
wp_userstable.In reply to: Edit Author Bio via BuddypressIt isn’t possible by default. You would need to link an xProfile field with the author description.
Try this. Note that I’ve used field ID 1 on the 2nd line. You’ll need to change this to the ID of your xProfile field.
function deanljbirch_save_author_bio( $data ) { if ( 1 == $data->field_id ) { wp_update_user( array( 'ID' => $data->user_id, 'description' => $data->value ) ); } } add_action( 'xprofile_data_after_save', 'deanljbirch_save_author_bio' );If a member updates the xProfile field, their author bio will be updated. Note that updates to the author bio won’t be synchronised with the xProfile field.

Is your user name a reference to Arsenal? I’m a fan 🙂

In reply to: member advanced search not working?BuddyPress doesn’t have an advanced search. Are you using a plugin?
In reply to: Group Description (required)Check out this article on CSS:

You can change the look and feel of your theme by adding styles to your child theme’s style.css document.
In reply to: Members who register other membersYou can’t do this by default on the front end in BuddyPress. You can of course do this in the WordPress admin area as an administrator.
In reply to: How to Edit Register Page?Check out the Template Hierarchy article. You can override the default templates by creating custom templates in your theme.
In reply to: Hide member page of specific rolesTry this:
add_action( 'template_redirect', function() { if ( user_can( bp_displayed_user_id(), 'manage_options' ) ) { // This member is an administrator. bp_core_redirect( bp_core_get_root_domain() ); } } );In reply to: Impossible to upload photos (profile and cover)HTTP error is a very generic error. Do you have anything else in your error logs?
In reply to: Front end video uploadYou could use Plupload because it’s a core library but it would require custom code.
