How are non members of hidden or private groups seeing this, how is it “getting outside” Steps to reproduce this would be helpful as this is an issue I raised a ticket on quite a while back but it may not be exactly the same issue.

Yes I’m aware of the issue with incorrect back ticks for quotes as It’s arisen all too often recently and why I asked whether you had copy and pasted; still, doesn’t explain why the Constant didn’t work for me , will have to look again. yep me being dumb 🙂

@nuprn1 have you any notion of why the constant definition causes an issue? or indeed why it’s required?

Doesn’t look to be. You followed the steps above exactly?

I’m not sure why the Constant is required and that for me just causes the profile link to fail to load, the function however works as described.

Did you copy and paste the code directly from this page?

So you can upload, I presume, through the WP interface, (media library) and now you are trying to install the BP plugin but it’s not finishing? Can you upload the plugin via FTP and get it installed that way?

I only ever seem to get this issue on one server that I manage through Plesk or at least have the option of, other servers I administer via SSH never give me this issue, leading me to think something in the way Plesk deals with groups isn’t the best.

Good stuff, Windows is an issue re mod_rewrite and .htaccess but isapi_rewrite does work well but you have to pay a license fee or use the lite version 🙂

Yes the problems were multiple and as I described earlier 🙂 Glad it’s working now, just take extra care when chopping templates around and with what I suspect is a mixture of theme files?

Compare the two pages index and single post, you are not calling the same sidebars; in single.php you appear to be calling ‘left-sidebar.php’ and this does not have the same rules applied to it as does ‘sidebar.php, and would need to if it were to function in the same manner as on the index page. Hardcode something in the sidebar just to be sure it ought to be displaying something or not simply hidden due to not having widgets.

It is a known issue and a patch has been committed and should be part of the 1.2.6 release, that will hopefully drop very soon.
