Thank you for your kind reply @boonebgorges
I have managed to find the solution that triggered the activity too by using the one of the wordpress plugins.
    Thanks a lot :))

    I LOVE YOU @shanebp :))
I spent soooo much time on trying to customise it! Thanks so much!

    Dear @sbrajesh
    Sorry to bother you.
Please, is there any chance you know how to remove this activity from Buddypress profile?

Mike “posted a new activity comment”

This is without url to the actual blog post so it’s useless. I tried to remove it from bp-activity-functions but it actually removes even the posted a new activity comment in a group.

    Thanks a lot:)

    WOW!
    I can’t possibly express how grateful I’m!
I have been looking for this for ages… this issue is one of the most illogical thing of otherwise quite awesome BuddyPress!

    Thank you SOOOOOO much :)))

Thank you Henry. You are absolutely right.

Shame there isn’t a way to exclude the tags in edit without using editor.

Ps: the example of the problem: when user edits he sees this:
    <a href='https://url.com/testor/' rel='nofollow'>@m_ention</a>

Is there a way to be only @m_ention even when edit?
    Thank you

    Dear @djpaul ,
    please ignore my previous reply.

I found out that the // ‘activity_update’, works a bit TOO well/much πŸ˜‰ , since it also removes the activity information about the new comments created in blogs.

Please, is there any specific removal as // ‘activity_update’, — however, this one only removes those which are posted in Buddypress Profiles?

This would mean… I would still see:
    [username] commented the post [postname]

However, if someone replies the BuddyPress activity/comments the
[username] posted a new activity comment
    Will not show/ create.

    Thank you very much

I still can’t find the answer.
Please, if you are reading this and have some ideas, let me know.

    Dear Paul – @djpaul,

thank you for your kind reply.
    Works like a charm.

Please, is there any way I can add the link to the comment too? The activity just says:
for example “Paul posted a new activity comment” but no actual link to it πŸ™

…. maybe this is the answer:

    activity->id, $activities_template->activity ) ?>
    <a href="” class=”button acomment-reply bp-primary-action” id=”acomment-comment-β€œ><?php printf( __( 'Comment %sβ€˜, β€˜buddypress’ ), bp_activity_get_comment_count() ); ?>

    from: https://buddypress.org/support/topic/resolved-single-activity-url/

However, I’m not sure where I should actually have it?

    Thank you very much πŸ™‚

    Sorry, one more question.

I found out that if I add the article to the favourite, but the activity is deleted – the favourite is deleted too – because it’s based on favouriting the activity πŸ™

This makes it probably unusable – because I wanted users to see the favourites – so they could use it as bookmarks :(((

Thanks you for all the effort. It was a good ride πŸ˜‰

    Dear @danbp
thank you very much. It works like a charm πŸ˜‰

Last question, if I may and you don’t mind… πŸ˜‰

Is there anyway I can avoid notifications when favouriting my own stuff? It looks a bit strange when I receive notification on that πŸ˜‰

I’m using favourite function as “Saving Tool” (when I like something, I favourite it and than I can find the list in my profile).

    Thanks a lot πŸ™‚

    Thank you @danbp,

    I saw those and others.
What I can’t figure out is how to add the for example: bp_core_get_user_domain( $user_id ) . 'activity' to the existing nav-menu in wordpress πŸ™

    Thanks

    Not at all dear @danbp,

I appreciate BuddyPress and its community spirit.

I just think there is no harm in asking.

Thanks a lot for the hint

    Dear @venutius and @danbp

could you please tell me how to change the favorite to likes – including the URL?
I know there is a page about changing SLUG etc, however, not one explain the favorite change.
    Thank you πŸ™‚

    Hi @danbp,

thanks a lot! It worked :))

May I just ask you… is there any way I can add notifications to the fav action?

So it will be for example:

Mike add your article [name] to his favourites.

    Thanks a lot :))
