Yes, as my theme is the BuddyPress default.
I think it was wp-super-cache in my case. It was installed in the wordpress folder on the server (not the plugins folder). When I removed it, it worked.
We solved it. It was a caching issue. Really threw a wrench in the works.
No. THat has no effect. I’ve disabled EVERYTHING except BuddyPress, and it has no effect.
Thanks for responding. Yes, the WP install is in the Streaming directory, and “Anyone Can Register” is enabled. It actually worked for awhile; this is a new development.
The “Register with Facebook” button works great, thankfully.
Thank you for the response. It didn’t fix my problem, though. Registration still not working, unless the user registers with Facebook.

HELP!?
Found where to create a Trac and have done that.
I am having this exact problem, too, @hnla. The same thing was happening awhile back, and somehow it was resolved… but now it’s back.
I am using WordPress 3.6.1 and BuddyPress 1.8.1
I have created a custom child theme to the bp-default. I have tried disabling my child theme, and the same issue persists.I am unable to find a download for 1.8 to revert the registration.php page. (Found lots of information about 1.8, but not an actual download.)
THank you for your help.
(I am also happy to create a Trac ticket, but I’m not sure where/how to do that.)
Maybe @mercime can be of help? You’ve been grea with other issues…. Thank you!
Done. Thanks!
I have deactivated most of the plugins (the site is live, so it’s tough to do a lot without COMPLETELY disrupting service), all to no avail.
Since the whole point of the site is to use BuddyPress, then I’m not sure how I’d test the new user registration without having it active.
The address of the new user registration page is http://www.finisjhung.com/Streaming/join-us
I tried the www thing, and it totally broke LOGIN (forget about registration). Anyone else…? Help!
