This issue can be corrected by adding the following line to your functions.php file:

include( getcwd() . ‘/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-blogs/bp-blogs-template.php’ );

This fixed the profile setting issue. Any word yet on how to fix the missing delete link in the activity stream?
