  • Forgive me @mercime but I did exactly what you told me not to do and now can’t get to the support page. I’m sorry. I have tried installing a different theme and then going back to the Buddypress default, but that doesn’t work – please save me!

@mercime The problem with the Buddypress theme is that the menu headings disappear. I had two rows of menus, which have now vanished. Can you recommend any other Buddypress compatible themes which accomodate this and / or that look more appealing.

    PS. You have administrator privileges.

    I am so grateful.

@mercime This is how it is already set up. Still the same problem I’m afraid.

@mercime so I have re-enabled /ticked the box, selected the support page, checked the slug is ok, all is fine, rerun permalinks, cleared cache and the link doesn’t work. I have tried entering meetinbradford.org/support and also tried the link, neither seem to work.

I notice that now, when I go to archive slugs > forums base : it states that there is a possible conflict with Support page

@mericme – when I follow your last step to the Buddypress>pages>discussion forums – the discussion forums option is not there because I unticked the box because I thought that I needed to do this to disable group forums to make site wide forums work.

@mercime I am more than willing to give you my login details and give you a wee project!

@mercime I have backed up my database and deleted bb-config.php. There is no immediate difference, that I can see. I do not want to use the group forums feature.

@mercime and @capt_blackwood I have turned off the group forums feature, but still have problems.

@mercime what pages should I create. Support or discuss or both – I have created both but neither have links to the forum.

Thanks mercime, what I have done is exactly the same as the instructions, apart from I’ve changed the slug names. I can actually get to view the post, but if I wanted to create a link to the forum, use a url to the forum, create a menu-heading to get to it – nothing works.

I am having the same problem. I have looked at various posts regarding this already. I must be missing something but…I have unticked the enable group forums, as I only want site wide forums – once done, this removes the forum page from the bbpress template pack. I have changed my archive slug / forum base to “support” and my forum slug to “discuss”. I have created a forum and the url is as follows http://www.meetinbradford.org/support/discuss/help-using-this-website/ ?which takes me to the post, but when I try to click the breadcrumb links to get back to the “support” page, I receive this error

“ERROR: You must supply the post ID to get the image from as an argument when calling the graphene_get_post_image() function.”

Using the custom links option doesn’t work either, I have tried
http://www.meetinbradford.org/support/ and http://www.meetinbradford.org/support/discuss but none seem to work.

So basically, I can get to individual forums but not the page behind it. I hope you can help.

These issues remain outstanding, should I expect a response?

I have followed these instructions in modifying the stylesheet (style.css) but despite this, the results are still the same. http://www.meetinbradford.org/groups/x/

I’ve shoved it in anywhere and it hasn’t worked.

OK, I;ve found the graphene theme stylesheet, but I don’t know which section to put it in. Header , sidebar main page?

That’s not the only thing either, half of the pages still have the wrong padding, please view Members & Activity.

PS. There are loads of style sheets, which one?

I think I’ve done it all, thanks.

The code I have seems quite a lot different to what you have, this is the beginning of the div tag
