Thanks @uloga

Anyone have an opinion on the dotted line under page titles? I’m second guessing them now…
And again! This time, a TOTAL overhaul, including a major color palette change. It is still very much a WIP (isn’t it always”), but if anyone has thoughts on the index page, I’d love to hear them. That, the item search results page, and the shop directory page are looking great IMO, but I can always use objective [constructive] criticism

Oh well, found this:
https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/hts-display-active-members/
It displays for ALL visitors, and I kinda like the concept a bit better than the original widget anyway

Hmmm…I just checked, and it seems like I am able to see this page when logged out:
http://www.riotcart.com/community/members
I also tried another members widget, and it didn’t want to work either

Adminimize (though I thought this only affected admin panel screens) and Capability Manager are the only things I have running that would mess with any of that sort of thing, I think.
I also have a conditional on my custom index page template to display some stuff to logged out users only. It works as intended, but could I have not close that correctly or something? Here’s that code:
ETA: just checked, and this widget will not display in my left sidebar either! Must be an issue specific to this one widget, because the others in that area are displaying just fine, whether I’m logged in or out…
ETAA: Here is the portion of my bp-core-widgets.php that pertains to this widget. Can’t remember if I’ve done anything to it other than changing the widget display title:
I have done quite a bit of editing on my sidebar, but I *think* all of my if conditionals are in order. Here’s my sidebar.php:
FWIW, I had this same issue when I stuck widgets in a widgetized area of a custom page template. I have a search and 2 text widgets in a left hand sidebar that display just fine to logged out users. Going to go try sticking the members widget there to confirm.
Hmmm…would code/plugins that affect the blog loop there also affect it on the main blog directoy? Because that seems to be fine (at least the “All” tab of it):
Meh, it’s OK for now to let the URLs remain “groups”. Thanks though, I wouldn’t have thought to look at templates

This just terrifies me.
OK, that was kind of a fail. I’m not sure why, but it made some links to individual groups completely break

Well I feel stupid now. I had added that exact line before I posted the thread here, but was refreshing http://www.riotcart.com/groups/
LOL!
Have done a makeover on my index page. Any critiques/suggestions welcome!
OK, I have a new request…would it be possible to display a user’s list of favorites on a page other than members/username/activity/favorites/ ?
I’d love to use the favorites feature on my site to allow users to create something like Etsy Treasuries, and display a new member’s picks each day/week/whatever on my site’s front page.
@ddgdaily, I’m not seeing a “most favorited” list anywhere on your site? Is all of that code you pastebinned just the stuff to add the *ability* to favorite a post, because I already have that up and running. I’m just looking for a way to keep a top 5 (or whatever number) list of the posts that have been favorited the most times, and display that in my main site’s sidebar

This is the first activity I’ve seen on the issue since asking myself, @ddgdaily. I really wish someone would come and pastebin the correct code, because if this is possible, I could really use it!
OMG @modemlooper, thanks for letting me know about that! My husband and I would be jumping around the room squealing right now if our Daughter wasn’t napping!!!
All new sales page:
It doesn’t really have many options (fixed or fluid width, sidebar on pages or no), but I offer Blix with several custom templates. i just happen to like how Blix is set up, and think it’s easy to customize.
I had a similar issue, but I can’t remember if I got help here or on the wp.org forums. You might want to check my profile in both locations for the thread

Someone on WP.org noticed some positioning weirdness in IE. The header ad area wasn’t over to the right where it’s supposed to be, and the main nav menu under the header was on 2 lines instead of one. I think I fixed these issues, but can anyone using IE confirm?
Yep. that’s what I’ve built, basically, except the fee for vendors is a flat monthly one, rather than a per-item percentage. I’m actually not sure if there’s a way to do that across a multisite installation. What I’ve built has required about 70 different plugins and many customized template files to turn the vendors’ individual WP sites into ecommerce sites, rather than blogs, and to give them all of the functionality that is included with their shops sites. It’s been a huge job that has really stretched my problem solving and “out-of-the-box” thinking skills, lol!
And I’ve changed the name of my site: http://www.riotcart.com

OK, how does that look now?
Yes, that totally helps! Thank you

Would a logged in/out conditional blurb (shown only to logged out users) right above the newest items block on the front page with a message about what the site is about be helpful?
