The ones that don’t have an image are they using gravatar to get the image or uploading? Do you get the same issue when you use BuddyPress default theme or are you using that already?

Is the blog definitely set to private as thought (haven’t checked) if it was it wasn’t designed to show in stream? Someone else may be able to confirm that but thought it was the case.

There is a search by the breadcrumbs under the top orange navigation header. It doesn’t function that well though as a general search not directed at forum. It is a known issue being dealt with in a trac ticket.

My guess is the theme isn’t loading scripting needed but the plugin does. You could test this theory by trying BuddyPress default

If you want it to use the child theme template you simply have that file in the child theme. You don’t have to link in the parent it simply will look to child first.

I’d say from tracing through that functions list it’s needed and should exist.

Off the top of my head I’d say make sure you’ve not got any rewrite rules in your .htaccess, no plugin is interfering and you’ve re saved your BuddyPress pages to be linked up.

What I’ve done is removed all traces of styling for now focusing on the simple formatting.

I think prefixing with bp- does sound a better option then. Just having raw really won’t work I think we all agree now. I’ll add that to the next update.
