When creating an event the wysiwyg editor shows both, visual and html icons. After hitting visual or html the problem resolves See screenshot (http://i53.tinypic.com/2rqkao5.gif). @ekine Hmm … I haven’t actually faced this issue — will have to check this out. Does the firefox console show any javascript errors with this? And the rte settings are inherited based on user capabilities; so if you do disable the rte in wp-admin for users, it should get disabled on the front end too.

Firefox doesn’t show any javascript errors. Yes, but when disabling the rte, all the links for “b” “i” “img” and so on are still visible. I’d like to see only a text field similar to the status update fiels or comment field, removing all the distraction from the viewers eye.

Strange — cause the issue is definitely with js. WIll have to investigate further.
So I was mimicking the wp-admin behaviour on this, reverting to the simple html tags version when the rich text editor is disabled. I’m directly using the_editor tag provided in wp-admin to render that text field.

@kunalb Raised a bug on GC for you. I’m running into an issue when trying to view ‘events’ within a members profile.
Stepping back to the Maps integration… I changed around the ep_map call and the height is better. I need to spend some time to customize the look a bit down the road. Thx again!!

@kunalb Just installed EventPress and digging the plugin. Question on the google maps integration, maps are showing up in an odd size/format. Any quick way to fix this? Ex: http://expeditionrated.com/events/western-sierra-trip/

A quick fix should be to copy ep_details.php from eventpress/themes/bp/ to your theme folder and changing the arguments in the call to ep_map to the dimensions you’d prefer. This will effectively over-ride the default event_details.php.

Stylesheets — simplest would be to simply dequeue them and enqueue your own :). Thanks, though “without issue” isn’t exactly true. As soon as my exams get over (ie tomorrow afternoon) I’m going to start formalizing a test system so that I stop shipping buggy releases and end up having to do 2 bugfix .1.x releases, one after the other.

yep denqueue/re-enqueue sounds like an approach.
Interested in the fact that suddenly we seem to have leap forward to a MVC pattern, that threw me somewhat 🙂

MVC was kind of my indulgence — I find it really convenient to think that way. Mixing event driven and MVC resulted in the mess you see in BPCP and EventPress ;). I’ve made a Google Code Project for this — to get my own wiki, issue tracker, etc. Please add any issues you find here — http://code.google.com/p/eventpress/

BPCP actually looks for post_type/page — so for certain pages you could add ep_event/page to your theme and that would override the EventPress theme. To write general theme files, youi could also go for type/page — which will affect any plugins using BPCP. Have a look at all possibilities here: buddypress-custom-posts/themes/
