Any development on this issue. I do have the same problem. http://www.site.com/members/user/messages/compose/?r=test1&subject=zxcxzxc This does not work.

I am trying to do the similar thing, I want to set the display name as the name and last name fields of the xprofile. But it does not work.
Is the extended profile activated on your site?
