    @francescolaffi Hi Francesco –

    I currently import tweets to my activity stream. I would like those tweets to be moderated and have been trying to register them as a content type. Component is “tweetstream” and type is “tweet”. I have read through the instructions but I am still having a hard time understanding how to implement this. How you…[Read more]

  • Having the same logout issue as well. Mine seems to be specific to the homepage only – strange…?

    @apeatling Hey Andy –

    Love the Buddypress Sidebar plugin! I was wondering if, in the same way that you can define specific pages for a given sidebar to display on, can you also define specific groups for only certain sidebars to appear on? This would be ideal for not only myself but many others that I know who are looking for some functionality…[Read more]

  • Having same issue but with Twitter. If someone posts on the site up to their Twitter account, then duplicate posts get made.

    Hey Peter,

    I also seem to be getting the following error message after I try to create a new group within BuddyPress after this latest upgrade:

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function bcpow() in /var/www/vhosts/example.com/httpdocs/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/buddystream/buddystreamFunctions.php on line 910

    Anyone else experiencing a similar…[Read more]

    Oh I see – thank you for the clarification Peter. I remember that issue of the Twitter accounts not sticking and it being fixed with this new version. I now realize that was causing the auto reset to not work now. A manual reset within the user twitter settings should be sufficient. Thanks again Peter!

    That is strange Peter – I know that the automatic reset use to work in the last version (1.0.3). Either way, thank you for writing it in for a future version!

    Peter – let me know if you are available for hire or what I could contribute to the project to get this feature implemented. Thanks again!

    Hahah – yeah Pete, that would be my suggestion. Or even better might be having the reset happen automatically like it did in v1.0.3 if someone were to revoke access on Twitter. Thanks again for your efforts!

    @blackphantom Hey Peter – you won’t have to do anything with the data with respect to the core functionality of BuddyStream but just having the data available will open a whole new avenue for those wanting to take the project further. For example, those looking to do real time reports in the field will now also have the option to include location…[Read more]

    Peter the 1.0.3.1 release has fixed the wp-load issue I was having. One thing that I noticed however is that if a user revokes access via Twitter, it now fails to update the Buddypress Profile and reset it back to “Authenticate with Twitter” again. This was not the case in v1.0.3. In the prior version […]

    @blackphantom Peter – thanks for all your work on buddystream. I was wondering if you could tell me if it would be possible to import, if available, any GPS data associated with Tweets? I know this information is in the Twitter RSS feed if it is available. I looked at some of the code in classes/twitter and it seems simply importing this…[Read more]

    • @lapa34c yes it is possible to import, be i dont know what to do with that data. Mayebe for a cool new feature?

    Looks like the wp-load is a path-issue for some folks… there may/should be a quick release fix for this soon.

    – Thank you for looking into this Pisanojm! This is definitely the issue we are running into. We have tried reinstalling the plugin per your previous suggestion but to no avail. Thanks again!

    Thank you for the hard work guys. Installed latest version but the import.php file is throwing an error message: ‘Warning: include(wp-load.php) : failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /var/www/vhosts/example.com/httpdocs/dev/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/buddystream/import.php on line 13’ ‘Warning: include() : Failed opening…[Read more]
