I really love BuddyPress, but that does not mean no one makes me resentful. One of them is BuddyPress custom settings that will return to the default each time is disabled and then enabled again, or when it is upgraded. Is there a way to create BuddyPress custom settings permanently, for example through the wp-config?

It seems only happen on BuddyPress 1.2.6. Because after I upgrade to 1.2.6, the custom profile on my site disappeared.
