This is done through groups; that is, each group has its own forum.

Did you set up the forums in the wp-admin?
Did you enable the forum in each group?Once enabled then the link for a forum for that particular group becomes available (a page is available) …
Are you using the bbpress included in BuddyPress?

(1) Set up in the wp-admin panel
In the wp-admin panel > BuddyPress > Forums Setup(2) Each group now has access to enabling a forum. Go to Group Settings for each group Group > Admin > Edit Settings. There is a checkbox for enabling the forum.

@notpoppy Do you have a timeline in mind for migrating to BuddyPress? The bbPress plugin will become available Q1 and should work well with BuddyPress. You might wait until Q1/Q2. If possible, increase the memory limit in either php.ini, .htaccess, or in the wp-config.php file. In php.ini
memory_limit = 128M ; Maximum amount of memory a script may consume (128MB)
Follow the proper procedures for restarting apache, etc. .htaccess method This is in my .htaccess because of file upload limitations in the php.ini as well […] -

So – the bp-custom.php changes the slug and then must go through a language file to change the activity portion …
Doesn’t that seem rather odd? You’d think it should be done in one place … 😉
