| WordPress Origin Story | The year was 2002, a time before WIX, Weebly, SquareSpace, or WordPress. I was working with a proprietary CMS that lacked both charm and essential features. Then, in 2003, WordPress entered the scene as a free, open-source blogging solution, quickly evolving into a robust CMS platform. It gave me the control I needed to implement necessary functionalities swiftly. Since then, I’ve been a devoted fan. WordPress has continued to grow ‘sweeter and sweeter as the days go by,’ a testament to the brilliance, work ethic, values, and genuine care for users demonstrated by Automattic’s founders.
