You are right, I went to general settings and there it was. I like the fact that if someone wants to comment they have to get to the original post, but I get that everything should be on sync. Thanks @Pisanojm.
How about eliminating the reply function from the activity stream, that way users can only click on link to original questions or post and reply in there as opposed to replying in the activity stream. Would that solve the problem for you @Pisanojm
Are you trying to eliminate the reply button from the Activity stream to force reply’s either in the comment or forums area? If so, I really think this is a good idea, I vote for a simpler activity stream with no reply buttons, only feeds from everything that happens on the site. Can someone throw some light to this idea?
Thanks hnla, I’ll look forward the next release or a patch whatever comes first.
I can’t set up the Activity Stream in my home page, did you know about that? Do you know of a fix?
This is actually the raw code, the previous one it’s after displayed in a browser. It comes from /activity/post-form.php.
<div id="whats-new-textarea"> <textarea name="whats-new" id="whats-new" />@ </textarea> </div>
Thanks again guys.
Awesome, very excited!
when are we getting access to following/follower setup? I like it better!
Testing this right now, thanks a lot nahummadrid.
Yeap, the notices is not what I need, the problem with hard-coding the message is that both logged in user and non logged in users are going to see the message. Better than nothing but still not what I’m looking to do.
nahummadrid and r-a-y, thanks a lot guys, you are great. I like both ideas, and let me tell you the notices one blew my mind away. I really need to read more into this, I’m sure there’s more information in the documentation right? Thanks again guys.
For version 1.2.2.1 I got no luck, I reverted back to 1.2.1.2 and now is working again, I’m thinking on setting up a page that list all my plugins, this may help the developer sort out plugin interaction problems.
I really hope they fix this bug in the next update, while is not really that important, it does bother some users.
Thanks Bowe, while I’m not using it, I’m leaving it there because some of my user may think like you do.
I use BuddyPress Links (0.3.2) on my site (http://lwees.com) and I like the outcome, check it out and let me know.
Yeah, I lost a couple of posts that I would have loved to bring over to my blog but that’s ok, I still love you guys.
Thanks Mike, I’m saving this code for later.
Just visit your profile click on Friends – My Friends, and it will go away. But I agree in that it should go away as soon as you click the notification link.
@Modemlooper thanks for pointing me out to BP-Notifications Widget, is the best option for what I wanted to do. Thanks a lot community.
Grow up!
I’m on GoDaddy, using WordPress MU and BuddyPress, it’s working fine for me. I do have a dedicated IP with my Deluxe hosting account, have you look into the possibility that you may need a dedicated IP or to upgrade your regular hosting account? Check out my installation at LwEEs.com.
I had a similar problem, it was related to file permissions. I edited all my buddypress files ( or chmod them if you will) to 755 and now its working fine.
Thanks guys, I’ll have them together then, I don’t think I’ll ever reach enough traffic to kill any server.
