Clear cache and deactivate cache plugin, change to bp-default theme, then check if issue recurs.

Where are you hosted? Windows or Unix/Linux server? What theme are you using? What plugins are activated? Have you gone through basic troubleshooting like deactivating other plugins except BP and changing to BP default theme?

You’d need to provide more information about your installation. It’s either a plugin or theme conflict. Deactivate all other plugins except BuddyPress and change to BP default theme.
