@gcchick01 haven’t seen a similar plugin which is compatible with BuddyPress/BP profiles. Best place to make a request and possibly a donation to extend plugin for BP compatibility is with the plugin author

Any member can create group/s and thereby enable Group Forums unless otherwise prevented in BP Settings or plugin.

Try Pages > Add New –> Activity (in title and nothing in text area) then publish. Then go to Settings > BuddyPress > Pages panel and choose the newly created Activity page and click on Save. See if that works.
