@mercime replied to the topic [Resolved] BP 2.2 beta 1 login avatar in the forum Requests & Feedback 9 years, 10 months ago
@r-a-y and @djpaul Scaling down the login widget avatar to 40px from 60px allowed for more space for long usernames or real names when user is logged in, instead of being wrapped around two lines. Aesthetically, it also made the avatar size uniform with all the other avatars in the other BP widgets.

@newdermeo Go to your wp-admin i.e. example.com/wp-admin and on the left side, there’s a main link named Settings. When you click on it, you’ll find the link to “Permalinks” and click on that. Then you choose other than what is set as default and click on the Save button.

@newdermeo did you change your Settings > Permalinks to an option other than the default one and clicked on the Save button?
In addition, I only added the link to the multisite configuration just in case you had a multisite installation. Did not intend for you to create one. My apologies if adding that second link confused you.

@michaeltransmissions As you noted above, the ticket as been closed as wontfix on the UI but lead dev enabled plugin authors to create custom levels by adding a new filter. I’m sorry that there is no plugin that I know of created for your needs. You’d either have to create one or hire someone to do it for you or wait till someone makes it.

@mercime replied to the topic Buddypress and bbPress? in the forum Installing BuddyPress 9 years, 11 months ago
@jwchameleoncorp BuddyPress Codex (Documentation link above) is your friend.
You will need to install bbPress forums which integrates well with BuddyPress. There is a step-by-step guide at https://codex.buddypress.org/getting-started/installing-group-and-sitewide-forums/ You just have to decide on what forums setup you want for your site.

@laura09 BP enqueues styles which are as minimal as possible so that your theme’s styles could supersede those. There are cases where they don’t. Site url? We’d need to see the issue so we can help you.
