Really? Is this still the case with the new versions of buddypress?

I thought that allowing avatar uploads in open registration installs was the default.

If that is still risky, which solutions would you recomment, @mercime ?

Sorry, I didn’t respond earlier, but I’ve been out of the country.
@mercime thanks for the help, but I’m apparently being very dumb.
Could you possibly throw in an example alternate code? Anything really, doesn’t matter. Everything I try I get:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘<' and similar.

@mercime – Unless we come up with some good AI, things like that might be unavoidable 🙂 In any case, I’m still only going to break on spaces, I’ll just be using character counts to determine minimum excerpt length.

@mercime i have put the original bp-theme converts bp-p2 on http://ruby.de-nws.com/. The p2 version they last used was 1.1.5. Download as jpg then change jpg to zip.

I would expect that their rendition would be more reliable than mine.

  @valuser, quite generous of you to host it as well as have a demo of it. Styling still needed for forums component but I think many can handle the forum styling.

@mercime … Converted my site to MultiSite on Thursday and installed the recommended plugin. No change. My guess is that this plugin work ONLY for multisite blogs that have been created, not overall users. I see this message when I click the link for the plugin “No user activation keys in $wpdb->signups.”
