I have an existing blog I’ve imported into a new WP / BP install. We have about 150-250 pageviews a day with some spikes to 600, or even occassional 1000. My get_avatars() function is returning the gravatar for every user, even if they uploaded an avatar in BuddyPress. In the template file, I replaced the call to get_avatar() with bp_post_author_avatar() and it worked perfectly. Does Tweetstream strip leading @ symbol when posting to Twitter? For some reason the post looks right in my activity stream, but in Twitter the leading @ got stripped.
