See if in the file jquery.qtip.style.js in the code shown below change $ to jquery. Might be a conflict. $(document).ready(function() { $(‘#subfeatures li a’).qtip({ show: ‘mouseover’, hide: ‘mouseout’, position: { corner: { target: ‘topMiddle’, tooltip: ‘topMiddle’, }, adjust: { x: 0, y: -40 } }, style: { width: 180, padding: 5, background:…[Read more]

Child themes work like this: Say you have a house and you want it to look different, you would then buy paint and furniture and curtains to make it loo different but the walls and roof and floors still look he same and are in the same place. The parent theme is the walls and […]

modemlooper posted on the forum topic how can we make the activity as home page in buddypress? in the group Creating & Extending: 14 years, 10 months ago
Do you mean a different home page when logged in or you just want activity on home page? That’s easily done by going to settings > reading in admin and then choosing activity stream as the static front page.

This is not a forum for bashing @jeffsayre. Please keep it on topic by discussing adding privacy to the core of BuddyPress.

The comments to Jeff were completely uncalled for but really this is an opportune time to add this functionality since the plugin is being dropped. Who knows maybe Jeff is overwhelmed, he did say he had help at the beginning. Maybe by it moving to core he can still contribute as can others.

I’m not excluding BP devs creating their own core privacy functionality. I think this is something very much needed or people wouldn’t be in such hot debate over why or why not @jeffsayre hasn’t released it. That said I just figured if jeff’s plugin is worthwhile to be integrated then add it otherwise create an internal […]

So @jeffsayre is releasing BP Privacy to the masses and asking for developers to take it over. I think this should just be added to BuddyPress core as it’s a too important feature that many if not every last BuddyPress site wants.
Thoughts?

There are exclude page plugins for this but the next version of BP includes custom drop down menus that you can adjust via admin.

You need to use a BuddyPress compatible theme. Just activating BuddyPress on a WordPress site is not enough.

Also when asking for help you need to give more details than it stopped working. Stopped working how? Not activating? Not showing on front end? Showing but nothing when clicking share button?

Sorry, I wasn’t really asking for help. If I remember correctly the “share” icon just didn’t show up anymore. I tried deactivating and reactivating the plugin but it still didn’t show up. I did no further testing or looking into the issue.
