What is your skill level when it comes to HTML/CSS?
I still live in the 20th century
Why will users be mis-guided?
Forum signatures are mostly external links. When they bear the same color, users might jump to the conclusion that they are a part of the site navigation
What is your skill level when it comes to HTML/CSS?
Zero
A reseller account gets the same resources and limitations that shared hosting accounts are allocated. They both cough in the same boat and same environment. What about a VPS?
I pulled my hijacking plug. So where is the healthy content?
And also one fundamental thing, are external links within a buddypress + bbpress do-follow or no-follow?
What you recommend?
should I uninstall buddypress’s default installation and go for bbpress 2? And also another thing noteworthy is if you use bbpress as group’s forums you can simply import and export forums, topics and replies easilyGlad to hear that. Thats why I wait and ponder for thousand years. It does really pay off
Took for Granted.
If your after themes, give Oxwall a try
Long live Frisco!
Is this thread getting due diligence?
buddypress profile map is certainly one candidate
“CubePoints Buddypress”
Above Plugin “Limits only members with a certain amount of points access to updates & replies”. I am going to give it a try. I find this whole thing as Psychological. Limiting “User Updates” in this era of spamming is “Logical” and most developers are “Psychos”
Most use these scripts to build small niche communities. But they claim “Social Networking out of the Box”. Its too large a thing for most webmasters. Who need to build next facebook? Its already built up from scratch. These are not so customizable as per the users requirements. Cannot limit even email “Juggernaut”
It was seen but pretended as unseen. What an achievement if feasible
With the pure generosity. I wasnt promoting it. Putting an alternative link to consider for the convenience of those who still havent made there minds on one script to stick with (like me)
A good riddance. Disable Group Forums within buddypress and uninstall the installation. Use bbpress 2 for group forums. At least Posts and topics will ever remain untouched
And also all the bbpress plugins like bbpress topic location and bbcode are well served within groups. I wonder why these buddypress guys dont cater it at first place (bbpress 2.0) without tweaking an old version. Burgess Hills must be under heavy rain or bbpress raining on buddypress’s parade?
Marvelous. This thing is going to keep me stuck with bbpress+buddypress (for how long? I have no clue). bbpress new version is deeply integrated into buddypress provided Buddypress group forums is disabled and uninstalled.
go to bbpress forums and creat a new forum or category and in the bbpress settings select it as the group forums base. At the moment you cannot have more than one forum or a category for a group. I hope things will change.
And also it promises changing things wont erase previously owned stuff. (Dont forget to check whether “Forums” in the “Settings” or “Component” tab (I dont remember where it is) of Buddypress is unchecked)I tried Buddypress User Account Type Lite plug in. But it doesnt work either. Nothing is capable of overwriting Buddypress default user capabilities. First I left Elgg because of a stupid “Privacy Access Option” built into it, now I think history is taking a fresh turn. Both scripts are useless for content driven social networks or “should be well moderated sites”
The above plugin is a total fraud. I suppose he tried to hack my hosting account. How can I report this vandal to Admins or Mods?
But “User Role Editor” doesnt work. If it does, I wont leave buddypress
Also “Members” plugin is easier than that, but even it rendered useless
I resolved it long ago
Alternatively you can go to bbpress->setting-> change forum slug from forums to anything else. I think it works though didnt try it myself
I will try the plug in
There are some wordpress poll plug ins. If your after surveys other than buddypress, go for free survey scripts
