| About Me | I run a digital agency developing websites for SME businesses for: – Lead Generation I am involved in the WordPress community having contributed to the WordPress Forum and spoken at WordPress Meetups in Brisbane and Gold Coast on Security, Online Marketing, SEO and Google Adwords. And I have been on the speakers panel at WordCamp Brisbane 2015 discussing “The State Of Mobile”. I have been in business since 1998 having come from senior management in the insurance industry, and have swapped a business suit for mare casual attire, and a corporate office to places that serve the best coffee with WiFi. WordPress has enabled me to create a business and lifestyle that allows me to spend more time with my partner and 3 kids, with a great income from a loyal base of clients which I enjoy serving, and is ever evolving to keep me interested in learning and developing creative solutions for businesses. My ideal clients are businesses who are not currently tapping into the web to automate their business processes to get more customers, sales and profits and allow them the time, money and freedom to enjoy exponential increases in profits, working less and enjoying better work / life balance. |

| WordPress Origin Story | I built my first website for my Mortgage Finance and Insurance business way back in 1992. I sold that business in 2008 having enjoyed phenomenal success online taking my business from a small local company to well known national mortgage brokerage winning awards in the financial services sector, and moved from New Zealand to the Gold Coast in Australia and bought a publishing company. I searched and searched and searched for a system I now know as a CMS and stumbled across WordPress from a throw away comment from a friend. I fell in love with the flexibility and extensibility of this web platform and a year later moved out of publishing and established a small web development business, Positive Business Online with a single client who wanted help to manage their site. From there the business has built as WordPress has evolved, into the business it is today helping a range of businesses across the world establish, manage and grow their businesses online. I am ever grateful to WordPress and the large community of like minded people who are happy to help and give back to people like me when I first started through to today. And I happily contribute back where I can. |
