Edit: came right
Also need to turn ‘gexample’ into a link for a different plug-in, its so groups can enter their web site address ( external web site ) and its displayed in the group header. Ganna release this one so ppl have a base to work from if they want to mess around with saving things to group meta and inserting them into the group header
In reply to: Terong GosongYou should have a favicon, when ppl link to your site, bookmark your site and much more a favicon help identify/distinguish your site.
In reply to: image link in a plugin folder – dev question@r-a-y last thing, Ive changed my mind a bit when it comes to the options. How could I get it to check the values seperated by a ,
Say the db field ready: one,two
The thing is it might read “one,three” or “two,four” so there should be a way for it to check separating it by a comma? Other wise I would have to type out all the instances that might occur..
// check which option is in the db
$group_card = groups_get_groupmeta( $group->id, 'gcard_group_card' );
if ($group_card == 'one'){
$group_card = gcard_one();
}
if ($group_card == 'two'){
$group_card = gcard_two();
}
return apply_filters( 'gcard_get_group_card', $group_card );

In reply to: *updated* BuddyPress Groupblog – update the plug-inHmm sorry about that, can’t remember how I came to think Burt wrote it. Thanks for clearing that up for me r-a-y.
@MariusOoms, do you have any plans to update the plug-in ( BuddyPress Groupblog ) as it is a good plug-in for furthering buddypress usages? There has been a lot of interest in the plug-in:

“Hello bro. I found your plugin really useful, I was wondering if by any chance you would consider on the next release of your group-blog plugin..”Amongst others. Do you have any plans for the plug-in?
Regards“Okay I figured it out” nothing to figure out.. If you right click with firebug, it tells you which file the rule is located in, never mind the line number. Also in firebug you can edit the css via the browser for a temporary view of what the rule will do before having to dig into your files and playing around with rules.
It really is a necessary tool if you plan on playing around with themes.. Good luck
in style.css

change:width:960px; to the desired width.If you dont have firefox and firebug, GET IT! All you would have to do is right click the element and you can see what is applied to it.
@r-a-y did you test it on your side? Not working for me. Think Iv’e got the “show card in group header” wrong.
More specific I think its $description .= ( on line 76 )
Im ganna try play around a bit and see if I can get it to show.In reply to: Facebook like for BuddyPress@antonrsa ye ta, I forgot to close the frame >.<
If some ppl didn’t know, you can change action=like to anything you want, so it could be action=recommend and so on.
In reply to: Facebook like for BuddyPress@svenl77 You said your using it for groups, i tried but it breaks my theme? Did you have any problems? I take it you have it in the group header, think I could look at your code mebe?
Iv’e tried placing the iframe just about everywere..EDIT: was the unclosed iframe
In reply to: Group avatar in activity stream@antonrsa let me know if you come right with this and the steps you took please
In reply to: Create group button not showing?Is this in your groups index file? http://pastebin.com/w2bKSa0Z
bumping cause I changed the hole topic.
In reply to: if group meta = example, show this ?Here’s the code for the form and saving the data, its rough as I uploaded it earlier today so havnt changed to to a radio group or anything yet but just so you can see what the table is called and stuff..
In reply to: How to change themes?get firefox, install firebug then right click on what ever you want in your theme and it will tell you what css rules apply to it or like the image’s location.
In reply to: Blogs loop – group avatar@boonebgorges Though couldn’t I call the avatar ( group avatar ) that the member/blog’s author is a admin of?
In reply to: Groups organization/navigationwhy not just take a plug-in like group email plug-in ( gives the extra tab under groups ( remove is_admin so it would show for all users ) ), strip out all the unnecessary code and add the links
In reply to: [resolved] locate_template and child theme chaosuse something like http://pastebin.com/ and past the link to the code here.
In reply to: The Groups Loop – per_page optional@boonebgorges ray pointed me in the direction of the “How can I set “Show NewBlogPosts” as default on acitivity-stream?” https://buddypress.org/community/groups/how-to-and-troubleshooting/forum/topic/how-can-i-set-show-newblogposts-as-default-on-acitivity-stream/?topic_page=1&num=15
and said I must play around with the ajax filter, Iv’e tried using your example suited to groups but I can’t get it working. Could you help me please?
In reply to: Adding more fields to groups@catchit nope, but I that code is off the groups tags plug-in. I think it allows you to edit the tags, which shouldn’t be hard to integrate into the code I gave you
Edit: I check the group tags plug-in and it does allow you to edit the tags. If I have some time tomorrow Ill have a look and see what I can do.
In reply to: is_admin for group admin, can’t find it?@boonebgorges thinking about it and your way makes sense. Thanks
In reply to: is_admin for group admin, can’t find it?its a bit complicated with recurring billing and other member levels, If I could just restrict admin privileges of a group, specific to the admin of the group based on the assigned level, I would be happy.
In reply to: is_admin for group admin, can’t find it?@boonebgorges Im using a membership plugin that assigns a level to a user based on if he has paid yet, with this level value he can now create a group ( sorted restricting this already ), if he stops paying, he’s level is demoted and can’t continue updating/editing his group.
So when he pays, he gets level ‘1’, he cant afford it any more so he gets he’s lvl taken away and cant update the group untill he has paid again, ( got he’s level back )
So I need to restrict editing/updating a group to admins and based on he’s user lvl?
Hope thats clearer
current_user_on_level( $level_id )
In reply to: is_admin for group admin, can’t find it?nope didn’t work
In reply to: is_admin for group admin, can’t find it?@boonebgorges @mercime Think this would work?
ps: current_user_on_level( $level_id ) is a built in function
