thanks @nuprn1 it seems that changing that one line as above has done what I need it to – I also removed the drop down from the main status box – now just admins can post to the groups

  that was andy’s plugin… though i did post up some hacks to fix a few bugs. there was some changes in bp1.2.6 to the stream/avatars though

      only on my demo site but that is still on 1.2.5.2 – probably update it next week. i’ll take a look at what changed too (though i know boone created a new rss feed plugin https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/bp-external-activity/ )

  that method might work – (or use the theme hook above the activity loop and call out specific activity ids). i wouldn’t have time for a few weeks but would be a useful plugin

Thanks @nuprn1, while a table sorter would be handy, I’d still have to check individual users which is a pain if there are many.
An additional page with users that haven’t been sent reactivation emails would be much hander as you could select them all in one go.

I have over 400 users with un-activated accounts, I don’t want to keep sending them reactivation emails, any chance you could add a list of users that haven’t been sent re-activation emails to the plugin? or an easy way to select them without having to click through the list?

Would it also be possible to add a &BEPA variable to the regenerated activation emails for tracking purposes?
or if I use it once a month, not to resend to previous people that the regenerated activation emails were sent to?

@nuprn1 fwiw – the wordpress backend checks if the same user_nicename AND user_login exist. if it does, it will attach a suffix (this is part of wp-includes/registration.php – wp_insert_user) So does that imply it’s not strictly a BP issue/ in which case the ticket really needs directing to WP if it’s to be dealt […]
