Hi,
Which are the functions to get data from my user’s group? I’m looking for something similar to bp_profile_field_data(‘field=Something’) but for groups, so I can get groups names, avatars, and so on. anyone can help me out?

You can try to edit the translation file (.MO). That can be more convenient if you plan to customize many of the strings and terms used by buddypress (such “Friend”, “Group”, “activity”, etc)

I want to create a NEW tab in GROUPS bar to direct user’s to group activity page. I’ve looked for an answer but all of them create a SUBNAV item, or they create a NEW item in PROFILE page. There’s a plugin to use hashtags within buddypress activity (BuddyPress Activity Stream Hashtags). However as far as I know there’s no “trending topics” plug-in anywhere.
