Is a Multisite the only way to get 2 buddypress activity feeds on one site?

No, I was referring to a post to the Buddypress Activity Feed. Is “Activity Entry” the proper term?

We just launched our site and are getting a good bit of activity. Just looking to figure out how many BP Activity Feed entries/posts we should have before we start deleting the older ones and if there’s a way to automate that. We currently have 950.

    Thanks.

    I opened a ticket at https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/6573

Per @hnla “It’s due to recent changes to how media is handled in BP activity streams, the problem is the removal of image attr such as class tokens and the image name references the WP image size.”

For some reason, I’m not able to comment on the ticket.

Does anyone have any idea how to fix this? Is it going to be fixed on an upgrade?

It started with a post on July 20th and we had posts that we’re fine after the BP 2.3 release.

We have a post from earlier this morning that is formatted as it should be, but I just published another post and the image is center aligned again.

I’m at a loss for what’s causing it.

I’m not sure. I was thinking it came out of the box like that. Those are not featured post images, but images that are embedded at the very beginning of posts.

Any recommended links for getting that figured out?

    Thanks.

The only change that’s been made recently is the WordPress 4.2.3 upgrade.

Any suggestions for finding the source of the problem?

Or are there any options as far as making code tweaks to CSS (or any other files) that can switch the order?

    Thanks.

The patch is working great for our site. We appreciate everyone’s help. Thank you.

My apologies for the duplicate thread, @hnla … newbie error. Won’t happen again.

I see the fix from Hugo:

For the moment to your is_page checks add && ! bp_is_user()

Can someone tell me where I would add that code?

    Thanks.

Thanks for the reply, @r-a-y … we did try the patch and it didn’t work.

Just to clarify the patch. It should be done on the wp-includes/query.php file and we should change
    “if ( in_array( $page_obj->ID, $page ) ) {”
    with “if ( in_array( (string) $page_obj->ID, $page ) ) {”

    Is that correct?

We’ve confirmed with fresh installs of WP, Wishlist Member and Buddypress that Wishlist Member is not protecting the Buddypress feed since the update of 2.2. 2.1.1 protects the feed just fine.

WLM support will not help because they say that it’s the code changes in BP’s 2.2 update that is the problem.

I got a copy of BP 2.1.1, but just don’t know the best way to downgrade from 2.2. Are their any recommended procedures for downgrading? The website is enormous and we’d rather not do a full restore of the entire website unless absolutely necessary.

Anything else I can do to get this fixed?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

It would probably be a lot easier for us to just go back to v2.0.3.

Can anyone tell me where I can download the 2.0.3 zip?

    Thanks.

WLM tells me to check with you guys. (I hate it when that happens :))

They say, “WishList member has no true interaction with BuddyPress”… so it looks as though they think it’s not their job to keep up with BP!?

BuddyPress is the only plugin that keeps WLM from protecting that page.

Is there an easy way to go back to a previous version of BP on the site? I really don’t want to risk restoring the entire site unless absolutely necessary.

    Thanks for the help.

Is that something you could help me out with, Paul?

Or is there someone you can recommend?

    Thanks
