More info: for some reason it returns my username as “admin” even though I deleted the “admin” user a long time ago. My profile page even uses “admin” in the URL: http://piphut.com/members/admin
However I user @r-a-y ‘s username only plugin and it shows up correctly as “piphut” in my blog comments.
So the problem appears to be in is passing the wrong username in the r= string when people try to private message me, and therefor the ‘send to’ is not being populated correctly, though it was working correctly before the upgrade to 1.2.4
Thoughts? Quick fixes? Free fish?
works perfectly

Just putt the word “profile” at the end of your URL.
e.g. http://www.selfpublishingreview.com/members/henry-baum/profile
@Paul I moved it up a couple of lines and it worked like a charm, not sure why! Thanks!
Henry, here’s a complete list of some of the internal things we can configure. Hope this helps:

Thanks for the quick response Paul. I inserted that in the last line of my wp-config and it didn’t do anything. You can check it out at: snaffuo DOT com. Just click on the top post and then click on my name on any comment. Any other ideas?
hmmm I’ve had several people tell me now that when they used lowercase letters for their username it went through fine. Anyone know where and what code to insert to automatically make a username lowercase?
I don’t mind kicking an error if that is easier.
bump. I have a hunch that part of the problem is when people try to use capital letters in their username or email.
Any ideas?
And it never sends the email – it never gets past that registration form.
