Question… Does the user exisit as a WordPress user? AND they don’t exist, BUT are appearing on the list of USERS in the Facebook USER ADMIN…. Can you verify that is what is happening?

So it looks like they have been saved to the Facebook-BuddyStream wp-meta area but have been removed as a user?

no the user isn’t an existing user, but it’s appearing on the list of users.

You can also try resetting your permalinks and see if that has any effect…

I’ve tried just about all of your suggestions, including to test with just Buddypress, Buddystream and the default BP theme activated. It didn’t work either. Seems like it has something to do with unsupported characters, or what? “Illegal scheme supplied, only alphanumeric characters are permitted”, with the line 106…[Read more]

  I gotta make this work, it seems like such a great plugin. I think Buddystream should be implemented in the next version of Buddypress.

    yeh, i have the exact same problem, but only with twitter and not facebook, facebook doesn’t give errors but will not sync.

Also include all version information…. WordPress… BuddyPress and whether or not you’ve tried this from a basic configuration: ie. Default Theme and only BuddyPress and BuddyStream active.

What version of php 5 are you using? Also what php handler DSO, FASTCGI, SUPHP, etc?

Suggestion to try… completely delete the plugin via FTP and reinstall manually via FTP. Reset the USER in the ADMIN panel, then re-integrate the USER… and the then try…

We are currently thinking about implementing a “reset” all feature to thelp with this kind of issue…

I’m using an existing facebook application (not a new one), so all of my existing application users on facebook will need to be reseted on my site, otherwise the facebook link doesn’t have an id.

hope that’ll help identifying the problem

Depending on the cron job application you may not be able to simply cut and paste what is posted in BuddyStream… review you cron job application instructions and adjust accordingly….

I’m using hostgator and getting the same error. I’ve tried various paths in the url, but nothing works. Its not the plugin though, because if I run the wp-content/plugins/buddystream/import.php in a browser, content gets imported.

Also noted that last.fm is currently ignoring the limit placed in per/day…. I will add this to the list of known issues as I can replicate it…

With regard to user… try a different browser (firefox/chrome) and see if you still have the issue.

re: user, I used Chrome and I just tried with FF, same thing, just refreshes. The link shows “http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=” without an id.

That is odd… it is pulling the user name from your WordPress user, so it certainly shouldn’t be doing that… it is possible there is a problem with another plugin… I’m not seeing that on my site, LPH2005’s site, or the buddystream.net site.

Are other users pulling tweets from/to your site, seeing the same thing?
