This is probably something that should be considered for change in the default theme… it’s not intuitive just having the reply in the last page of pages…

I was just pulling the statistics from the plugin on the community page here, now there is 921,000… seems too exponential given the amount of conversation here….

@warut Any more on the badge plugin? Have you given up development… I looked through the code today and it is way above my head…. anyone else? This Plugin hasn’t been updated since April and there are NO alternatives anywhere even at the premium BuddyPress sites….

Thanks @r-a-y and @boonebgorges I have made the loader changes and have contacted the plugin developer. I took a number of computer classes back in HS and under-graduate (20+ years ago) learned how to program in BASIC/COBOL/Pascal/ and C (not + anything). Just a bit of statistics…. When I posted this there was just over 900,000 registered users on this site. There are now 16,000 more… my guess is that 99% + of these are spambot/splogbot registrations. What about using the Humanity/SiCapture and/or limit the amount of links to less than 3 for help with this on […]

Hi there – I had a quick look and it looks like it should be a useful plugin.
One big suggestion before putting it in the WP repo. Make sure that you have a separate loader file for the plugin, to ensure that it’s only loaded when BuddyPress is loaded (or, at least, that the BP-dependent functions are located in a different file). See how I do it…[Read more]

I would always try to contact the author of the original plugin before deciding to release a new version.
In a recent blog post, the author stated that his older plugins work for WP 3.0:

I would love the ability for my moderators to add tags to already posted forum topics… Most people that are starting on our BuddyPress site (educators) have never really dealt with folksonomy (tags). This is a TOP needed BP core function.

I’m hoping within a month but I can’t be sure because I don’t know exactly the kind of workload I am going to have with school this year.. and until Christmas this is always the busiest time for me anyway… but I’d say a full non beta release with pretty much all features within a few months… next release hopefully within a week… fixing a few…[Read more]

Good to hear. This plugin is a significant step forward in managing BP forums through groups…especially in my view. I’m surprised this hasn’t been something that has been considered for a BP Core enhancement…. it only makes sense.
