I have one last question, if you don’t mind…. How can I change what theme is assigned to newly created blogs? I know the creators can change it through their admin area later, but the default WP theme that is on there has broken links and is ugly.

    John James Jacoby,

Please send me an email address so I can paypal you the $20. Removing the www site-wide through admin and in the wp-config.php file solved the problem. I was able to create a blog as a user, log into it, post, add widgets, change the theme, etc.

    THANK YOU!

I am having a hard time with connection at this coffeehouse. I will get back on in 45 minutes when I get home and I CAN give you an administrator account if you think you can fix it. Thanks.

P.S.- If you don’t want to post anything on here publicly just message admin on the site. As soon as I have a solution and people can get on their blogs, I will IMMEDIATELY paypal you the 20 bucks. This site is launched, promoted, submitted and today one of the first users tried to post her vision for a green community and she couldn’t.

So… “Andrea has the answers” and the other thread was closed…. If the answers are available then why didn’t you at least post a link to them? Who cares how OLD the thread is if the problem isn’t solved?

I believe it MUST be a buddypress issue because none of the solutions in the WPMU forum work…. Not only that, this seems to be a common problem.

Same problem here with NO plugins besides BP. I already stated my version and everything else in a prior post. Is that “deactivate your plugins” response automated, or do you just tell everyone that?

Okay, I fixed it. Somehow there was an extra slash in the url field that was doing it. I saw it, found it, removed it, and now it’s all working.

Actually, NOW all of the links on the admin bar under “my account”, clicking a user in the member list, just about everything now re-directs to the member list. Can’t view members or anything.

I disabled them all, and when that didn’t work I uninstalled them. Still the same thing. Straight to the member list whenever I hit any of the create group links.

Actually, I was just informed that one of my friends who is helping with the site upgraded from 2.8.4a today before I tried to create any groups. Does this help?
