Am I pregnant?
It’s maybe a week or two ago that you and your partner enjoyed yourself in bed, and now you’re dying to find out if the sheet gymnastics might have ended in a pregnancy.
Whether you dream of getting pregnant and paying attention, keep an eye on the body’s small changes and signs of whether it has now succeeded – or whether you have not planned a pregnancy and are also looking for signs of whether it is the case – then there are a number of early symptoms of pregnancy.

To be completely sure, you need to take a pregnancy test or visit your doctor, but until that is possible (and the smartest thing is to wait until your period is delayed), there are several different symptoms that you can keep an eye on if you think you are pregnant.

However, these early signs of pregnancy can also have other causes, so there is no guarantee that you are pregnant.

1. Fatigue
You did not even get through the first page of your book last night before falling asleep. If you are suddenly more tired than usual, it may very well be your body’s reaction to an increased amount of hormones. Many women experience fatigue in the first trimester , but usually it passes into the second trimester.

Sore breasts
Did it feel like torture to put on your bra this morning? And do you suddenly think your breasts seem bigger? Sore and heavy-feeling breasts, darkening of the area around the nipples and more obvious blood vessels on the breast can be some of the first signs that you are pregnant. Wear the bra that supports your breasts the most to avoid discomfort.

Food cravings or food cravings
Suddenly you can not get enough of pickled cucumbers at all. Or maybe mackerel in tomato makes your stomach constrict. If you find that suddenly there is food that you can not stand at all, or food that you can not get enough of , it may mean that you are pregnant.

4. Headache
Another early sign of pregnancy may be a headache. The headache is your body’s reaction to the changes in your hormones. The National Board of Health recommends that you should generally use as little painkillers during pregnancy as possible, and that in the case of mild and short-term pain, you should choose non-medical treatment. If you have a bad headache, it is best to soothe the pain with drugs containing paracetamol such as Panodil or Pamol, instead of pills like Ibuprofen that are not recommended for pregnant women. Contact if necessary. your doctor if in doubt.

5. Mood swings
World War III breaks out at home because your man for the 117th time failed to hit the laundry basket with his sour socks. If you have a lot of mood swings, it can be a sign that the hormones are raging around in your body. Remember to tell your husband that these roller coaster rides will not last forever.

Nausea
Most pregnant women start getting nausea when they are six weeks old, but some experience it already earlier. It will usually disappear as you approach the second trimester. In the meantime, try eating foods that give your stomach peace , such as biscuits or crispbread. Ginger Ale soda is also good for removing nausea.

7. Sharpened sense of smell
Just opening the kitchen door where your trash can sits can make you throw up (the garbage job is no longer yours). If special odors make you sick, and you generally have an increased sensitivity to odors, then it could very well mean you have a baby in your womb.

8. Stomach cramps
Is it just PMS or are you actually pregnant? It can sometimes be difficult to tell the difference, but if you feel some tension in your abdomen, it may very well be your uterus that is expanding to get ready for a baby.

9. Back pain
Do you have low back pain? If you do not normally have it, it may be a sign that your ligaments are giving way a bit. We are sorry to say this, but it is something that will continue throughout the pregnancy as you gain weight and your big belly shifts the body’s balance point and destroys your posture.

10. Spotting
Did you get your period anyway, or what is that blood in your underpants? If the bleeding is much less than normal and maybe a few days earlier than expected, it may actually be implantation bleeding. A small amount of bleeding occurs when the fertilized egg attaches to the uterine wall.

11. Flatulence
You could fit your jeans last week, but now you suddenly can no longer close your pants. If you feel a little bloated, it may very well be the hormone progesterone that is formed in your body during a pregnancy and causes your digestive system to slow down.

12. Dizziness
A symptom often used in movies as a sure sign of pregnancy. But it’s actually not pure fiction. Low blood sugar or blood pressure can make pregnant women dizzy. Make sure you get enough to drink.

13. Increased body temperature
If you have been trying to get pregnant for a while, then you have probably been used to taking your temperature every morning to keep an eye on when you are ovulating. In general, women have a slightly higher temperature from ovulation until menstruation two weeks later. If the temperature continues to rise thereafter, it may well be because you are pregnant.

14. Pee urge
If you suddenly can not sleep through an entire night without having to get up and pee, it may very well be a sign that you are pregnant. During a pregnancy, the body produces more fluid, which causes your bladder to work overtime, so you have to urinate all the time.

15. Absence of menstruation
Many early signs of pregnancy are the same as PMS symptoms. So how do you know the difference? The only sure sign is if your period is delayed. If your period is usually regular, but you suddenly go a few days over time, then it is time to go for a walk to the pharmacy.

16. Positive test
You cannot be completely sure that you are pregnant until you have a positive pregnancy test in hand. If it shows a negative result, but you still do not get your period, then it may be just too early for the test to detect it. Wait a few days and try again.
