Hi again,
I have to apologise to all.
The captcha ‘problem’was caused by Jetpack plugin, not by BuddyPress.
As far as the second problem goes, I removed the tab from the menu and now all is good.
Stay safe!
…..how to show the problem is resolved? …. 🙂
Thank you 🙂
Hi Henry and naijaping,
Could you, please, tell me where to paste your code?
Thank you!
@oedipamaas, unfortunately there are many other critical points.I no longer use this plugin, because it’s structure is in conflict with all the world. I can’t use easy other theme than bp theme, all other additional plugins have to be bp related only, not to mention the fear I have to ask questions here. Most of the time all are concentrated to be irritated by wrong topics, or not telling you everything….
Anyway, thank you very much for the information and congratulation for finding it by your self!Best regards,
PollyThis problem is NOT RESOLVED!
Anybody with a solution, please? ( to switch to a BP theme is not a solution!)
Thanks!Well, I think is a theme problem.
I switched to BP theme and didn’t have any problems. When I went back to Striking, BP pages were redirected to Archives.
I guess I have to contact Striking authors.
Regards,
PollyHi,
I’m sorry if here is not the place to put my problem but it’s similar as @shuklaamar1509 exept the fact that I’m not on a local host.
Examples:
Page Members – Permalink: http://www.theartbook.eu/members/ but if you visit it you will see Archives.
The same is for most of Buddy Press pages.
My permalink settings are:Post name : http://www.theartbook.eu/sample-post/WP -3.5.1
Theme – Striking
Buddy Press – 1.7.2Thank you!
Mamma mia! It sounds difficult 🙁
@mercime,
I did clear the cache of all browsers and even Striking’s cache(it has it’s own system).
My hosting is webfussion.co.uk
I’ll contact the support team to ask for a help.
If nothing changes I’ll come here again for more suggestions.Thank you very much for your time!
@mercime, thank you for your reply and sorry for me sending message without important details!
WP – 3.5.1
BP-1.7.2
Theme – Striking_ResponsiveI did change to 2012 and deactivated my plugins and the result is the same. I still have the notification that somebody want to be my friend, even though I accepted the friendship (it’s a fake member for testing the system).
On his side everything is ok. No hanging notifications.Thank you for your attention!
Best regards,
ProletDear aces,
Thank you for your suggestion to caedaldwych. I’d like to use it too.
My problem is that I can’t find the bp-custom.php file 🙁
The path “wp-content/plugins/bp-custom.php” is incorrect.
Of course I went to buddypress’s directory and opened all subdirectories and still no bp-custom.php
It’s weird to ask for this type of help, but please advise me!
Thank you so much for your time!Best regards,
ProletActually…
I installed and activated and i have the following messages:
The plugin buddypress-login-redirect/bp-login-redirect.php has been deactivated due to an error: Plugin file does not exist. The plugin buddypress/bp-loader.php has been deactivated due to an error: Plugin file does not exist.
Such a shame!
