  • Whilst I.m on the subject, if it needs special attention to install then there should be a clear barrier to installing it directly from the plugin page.

    Thanks for the links @mercime. I have question for the Buddypress team – Why force people to do things that they are not qualified for? It would be better if BuddyPress were able to cope with webhost scripts instead of forcing a manual install of WordPress.

    The reason we use WordPress is because we do not want or are not capable of all that techy stuff.

    I installed BuddyPress 1.5.1. If I could login to my site admin I’d tell you which version of bbPress was installed. However, as they seem to have screwed up my site I can’t.

    Just tried to check back to my site. I cannot login any more either as my own userid or as admin.

    I have had the same issue today. I am using WordPress 3.2.1 and BuddyPress 1.5.1.
