| About Me | Slippers are popular through out all parts of the globe. They came about early on in India and in Jiaozhi, now know as Vietnam. We are speaking of the period of the 1100’s. Here are a couple of facts about slippers: Pope Benedict XVI as known to wear slippers which are scarlet red in color. He wears them with white socks. He had them made by his won shoe cobbler. Derek Fan, who is known as “The Slipper Man”, has made his place in the Guinness Book Of World Records. He wore a pair of dress slippers for twenty-three consecutive years. The twenty-third year was met on June 30, 2007. Shoes and boots usually are mad from canvas, rubber, leather, and plastic. The soles are made to be thick.
