There’s a problem with curling quotations (“) not (“) because it will give that T_STRING error.

Instead of trying to change the URL of the activity feed, you should redirect the feed to the Feedburner URL.

From what you typed, I can’t really confirm what it is you want to do.

Sounds more like a theme issue, you might want to check modemlooper’s BP Columns theme for hints on how to structure the page into 3 columns:

Can’t you just create and upload a new favicon in the root of your server?
eg. example.com/favicon.ico
