The create group link exists on the group directory page:
http://anothera.net/v2/groups/I guess this is a usability bug, you could manually add a create a group button by modifying your BP theme.

You can ignore notices for the most part; it’s something the BP core dev team needs to clean up, but won’t affect the functionality of BP.
I believe you have WP_DEBUG defined in wp-config.php, if you do, uncomment that line.

r-a-y posted on the forum topic Community Blog – does it work? in the group How-To and Troubleshooting: 15 years, 6 months ago
Try the BP Groupblog plugin instead: https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/bp-groupblog/ It’s been awhile since I’ve used BP Community Blog (back in the ol’ BP 1.0 days), but I believe it allows you to give a group access to an existing blog to post at. This wouldn’t be on the BP frontend. It’s more of a WP admin thing. […]

It has to be this:

Change $id to whatever.

r-a-y posted on the forum topic Add Buddypress to WordPress Blog in the group How-To and Troubleshooting: 15 years, 6 months ago
You don’t need the BP Template Pack if you’re doing this. What you’ll need to do is: 1) Deactivate the BP Template Pack plugin. 2) Activate the BuddyPress Default theme on your blog. 3) Setup WP 3.0 in network mode as a subdirectory install. 4) Create a new user blog and activate whatever theme you want […]

You need to look at the HTML source to find the element you want to hide. For example, if I wanted to hide the wiki tab, I would add this to the stylesheet:
li.page-item-16 {display:none;}

You can create a new forum manually in standalone bbPress, then set that forum as a forum category in the standalone bbPress backend.
Next, grab the forum ID of this new forum and add the following define in the WordPress wp-config.php:
define ( ‘BP_FORUMS_PARENT_FORUM_ID’, $forum_id );All new group forums from now on will be created in…[Read more]

r-a-y posted on the forum topic Activity Replies: Too much indentation in the group How-To and Troubleshooting: 15 years, 6 months ago
A way around this is to try and add a CSS class to each level of a comment, that way it would be possible to clear the offending threaded level to the next line. However such a CSS class doesn’t exist. — Also, I spent some time looking at making activity comments flat instead of […]

Would be interested to see this code, as well as Derek’s changes to it.
I hate what WPMU-Dev did to the free plugins section on their site. Luckily, most of all the good WPMU plugins are now hosted on wordpress.org!

r-a-y posted on the forum topic Search Activity in the group Requests & Feedback: 15 years, 6 months ago
First you’ll need to add an additional option to the BP dropdown select menu for “activity”. Check out the “bp_search_form_type_select” filter in bp_search_form_type_select() (located in bp-core-templatetags.php) to add your own. Then you’ll need to modify the bp_ajax_querystring so it adds the search_terms parameter as Andy has stated above.…[Read more]

r-a-y posted on the forum topic Sending Mass PM as admin possible? in the group How-To and Troubleshooting: 15 years, 6 months ago
@rossagrant, @askewz – Read this:
https://buddypress.org/community/groups/how-to-and-troubleshooting/forum/topic/send-mass-email/#post-49648This doesn’t hook into the notices section though. It’s a separate admin page.
I might look at creating a plugin to use BP’s native notices section so it’ll send out an email.

I’m guessing there’s a javascript conflict.
Check your browser’s error console to see if any JS errors pop up.
