1) I’m able to register and see my newly-created profile on your website. Your users have to activate their account via email before logging in. 2) Did you setup the Buddypress forums correctly under the “Buddypress > Forums Setup” menu in the WP admin area? 3) Make sure your wp-content/uploads directory has the right permissions. You can set this on the “Settings > General” page in the WordPress admin area: https://codex.wordpress.org/Settings_General_SubPanel Then you can try installing a front-end posting plugin. Do you have BuddyPress activated network-wide?
If you activated BP network-wide, when you attempt to register from a subdomain, what is supposed to happen is you get redirected to BuddyPress’ register page.

The point I was trying to make about “hiring a developer” is in the real world, we have timelines and deadlines to meet. If you’re waiting on FOSS to hit those deadlines, it is highly unlikely that will happen.
Like Jeff said, there are a ton of ways to get involved if you’re not a coder. Documentation, solid testing and supporting the…[Read more]

When you upgraded did you deactivate any running BP plugins?
If your entire site went blank when you activated the bp-default theme, please check your error log to see what the culprit is.
If you don’t know how to do that, try this tutorial. -

First of all, WordPress has been tugging along for 7 years. BuddyPress is just barely over a year old! WP developers are just starting to look at BP, so you should hopefully see increased plugins and involvement from other developers in the coming months and years.
Secondly, if you did your due diligence, you would have found a few threads here…[Read more]
